Aubrey Ball

For my project, I chose to do creative portraits. To make my portrait project more creative, I decided to use light and shadow to create interesting patterns and colors on my model. I have been doing portrait photography since I was around the age of 16. However, I had always stuck to a very standard portraiture process. My photos were not creative, they were very simple. When I read the project description, I began to think of ways that I could make my portraits more creative using tools that I had access to. I remembered that I had a decently sized collection of doilies from my great grandmother. I experimented with them and saw great results.
