For this project, I wanted to create work that was unusual, but still easy for the viewer to understand. When I was brainstorming ideas for the project, I remembered an abandoned building I had seen a few days before, and thought it might be a good place to take interesting photos. I then thought about how I could dress, pose, and direct models in this space to create photographs that used unexpected elements together. I decided that having them dress in formal clothing that was colorful but still vaguely elegant would fit this idea. Through these photos I wanted to convey a feeling of dissonance between the subjects and the environment.
